SODCAP Inc. Living Lab

Illustrations and Web Assets

South of the Divide Conservation Action Program Inc. (SODCAP) is a Prairie Living Labs conservation organization in Saskatchewan that works with producers, farmers and workers to help design plans and make decisions that will benefit the long-term sustainability and biodiversity of the area. Native Prairie ecosystems are essential to the health and well-being of a multitude of species – including humans.

SODCAP invites people into the complexity of conservation, biodiversity, sustainability, economic stability, and stewardship.

Working with Molly as the creative director and project manager, she pitched the concept for the illustrations to look like woodcut linoprints, giving them a rough wild look that fits within the whole brand identity. I studied linoprint Prairie landscapes to help recreate the look and feel, with the help of Molly’s ground work laid out. Plants, grasslands, grazers, pollinators, and Living Labs researchers were my main focus of illustrating and creating scenes, bullet point illustrations for specific topics, and icons on grazing methods.
